Slieve Binnian rises to 747 m and is the third highest of the Mourne Mountains. Looking northeast from the summit one can see into the heart of this dramatic range. Slieve Donard, the biggest peak at 850 m, is to the image's right. These rugged granite mountains are the tallest in County Down and dominate the adjacent low-lying coastal landscape.
