Omaha Beach – I took this picture whilst on a family holiday. We had visited various Normandy beaches, but upon arriving at Omaha on a day of mixed weather, we were confronted by an interesting cloudscape. The sky was constantly changing, and I hurried the beach extended the tripod legs and attaching the camera on the go. I got 3 exposures before the light changed for the worse – another shot I’d have missed completely on large format! Ilford FP4+. 1/15th second at f/16, Orange 22 filter. more
