The Joe Cornish Gallery in Northallerton has been a bit of a Mecca for landscape photographers for some time. They have consistently shown fine examples of the genre from Joe Cornish and other fine photographers.
On Landscape has been thinking of a way to showcase some of our favourite photographers for some time and it made eminent sense to collaborate with the gallery to achieve this. We are delighted to announce the launch of the 'On Landscape Room' (on the top floor of the gallery).
First Light Inspired Exhibition
Joe Cornish's book 'First Light' was one of the books that was cited many times over as an inspiration for those photographers' work, so it felt right to use this as a theme of the next exhibition.
Working with the team at the gallery we have curated an exhibition by photographers who have been featured in the magazine or who have been part of the conference, that have mentioned First Light as a direct influence. Find out more. Read the discussion with Joe Cornish and fellow exhibitors on First Light and Inspiration.
In collaboration with the gallery's commercial knowledge of the landscape, we have chosen a set of six photographs each from five photographers. Our first set of photographers is listed below with a sample of the images that will be on show.
We plan on running each set of photographer's images for 3 or 4 months before rotating them all for a new set of photographers. If you're interested in being interviewed as a featured photographer and being included in the selection process, please do get in touch.
