About Deirdre Slattery

Deirdre Slattery has been bushwalking for many years, including South-west Tasmania. She has no photographic skills whatsoever but enjoys the products of other people’s skill and treasures the original Age Peter Dombrovskis campaign photo of Rock Island bend on the Franklin. She is the author of two books on Australian mountains, Australian Alps National Parks: Kosciuszko, Alpine and Namadgi National Parks (CSIRO Publishing 2025) and Kosciuszko: A Great National Park (with Graeme Worboys, Envirobooks, Sussex Inlet NSW). She is retired and lives in Castlemaine.
