An 8×10 camera is a large format film camera with a frame that measures 8 inches by 10 inches. It’s typically the largest and most detailed large format camera, and the film sheets are 52 times larger than a 35mm frame.

The large negative produced by an 8×10 camera can create images with a lot of clarity and depth, and some say the quality is richer than what a digital camera can produce. 8×10 cameras can also be used for alternative processes like wet plate printing and contact printing in a darkroom
